(188) 7-7-2011 Off To Great Wolf We Go!

WOO HOO!

The day is FINALLY here, we get to head to Great Wolf Lodge. I have been looking forward to this since Easter.

We are heading there for 2 nights and 3 days. Since you can play in the water park every day you are there, we are going after lunch to make the most of our stay.

I am sorry, no water pictures today, we were WAY too busy playing like crazy. We did have a HUGE bathtub that fit all the kiddos in it. To make it even better, it was a jacuzzi tub, so they really had fun bathing.Then we took "The Bigs" down to story time for the bedtime story of the night.Then, it was up to bed we went for a BIG day at the water park.

(187) 7-6-2011 Stella's Home

After watching Bad Teacher, going to my appointment, and then shopping for our meals to take to Great Wolf Lodge, we picked up the girls and headed home to pick up Stella from the vet.

She is walking around like it is not even bothering her. I am hoping this is a good sign!

He put a bandage on her leg and said to leave it in place for 3 weeks if she would leave it. We are hoping this will work seeing as if not, he will have to remove the foot!! We really don't want that, but if we have to, we really like her, so we will.

*** I know, you think we are CRAZY, but Rachel has chosen to take her to the vet and since she will be working off the bill, that is what we will do!

(186) 7-5-2011 Cars 2 in 3D?

We took Stella to the vet today, and he wanted us to leave her with him so he could stabilize her leg and keep an eye on her over night.

Then, we headed off to Stephenville to go watch Cars 2 with Rachel. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, so we came early to spend the night. We dropped Madi off at Mimi and Poppy's and then headed off to see the movie in 3D. As we sat there with our glasses on, we were wondering if this movie was REALLY in 3D. I don't think it was.

Rachel was even convinced that it was not.

After we got home, I made some posts on Facebook, and then with some comments, I was convinced it was NOT in 3D. So, I made a call up to the theatre and the Manager said they had played the wrong movie and were offering rain checks.Lance went back up there to get them and we made a plan to go see Bad Teacher the next day.

(185) 7-4-2011 Happy 4th Of July???

Today we had BIG plans to cook hamburgers, eat watermelon, and go watch the fireworks. The plan changed a bit when we found that Stella was having a bit of trouble with her foot. I asked Rachel if something had happened and she said that she had closed it the door on the cage. There was something REALLY wrong and I am still a bit worried. (I didn't know how much I really like that hamster until I thought we might not have her anymore.) So, after researching online and calling a vet, I think her leg is broken and we are going to see the vet in the morning.

On a better note, we did get the hamburgers cooked and they were delish.

We had watermelon that Lance bought, and it was GREAT!!!

It made Rachel smile!!! HAHA!!!

Rachel has been getting more and more attitude, and giving less and less respect to us. So, today was the last straw and she paid the price. We are not going to see fireworks. :-( I am really sad about it. We really wanted to take them, but we just think this is best right now.

Rachel also lost her door on her room seeing as she feels free to play with ALL Madi's toys, but refuses to let Madi in her room to play with her toys.

We also decided that Rachel will be working off the vet bill we will be paying tomorrow. She will be clearing off the table after meals, and then helping me with the dishes every night.

She thought it was fun! I was shocked, but oh well, she has A LOT of days ahead of her to do this chore.

(184) 7-3-2011 RANDOM

We got an extremely rare sight today. While Madi was napping, she was SUPER tired, so I went in to wake her up and this is what I saw.

The RARE thing is that we hardly ever get to see her sleeping. She usually wakes up with the movement of the door. So I just HAD to take a picture.

HERE IT IS:Well, the Presidential Fitness Awards training continues! Today it was a 200 yard run. Well, Rachel barely made it 100 yards, I guess we will have to work our way up.

I painted Madi's toes for the first time and she LOVED it. She couldn't stop looking at them. I got smart and did it while she was buckled in her chair during dinner so they could dry!We also got to see a Santa Claus look alike in the bath tub!!!

(183) 7-2-2011 Getting Ready For Great Wolf Lodge

As we watched cartoons this morning, we saw a segment on how to make Dora cupcakes. So, Lance and Rachel set out to make some wolf cupcakes for our trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Rachel was a wonderful helper. She mixed everything with the mixer. I love watching them cook together!Here is their first finished wolf!!!
Pretty darn good huh??? I was surly impressed.

(182) 7-1-2011 Who Knew The Second Child Would Be SOOOOOO Different??

Tonight was a BIG first in our lives as parents!!! I walked by Madi's bedroom and saw THIS:I gasped quite loud and then looked around the back side and there was an 18 month old with a black dry erase marker, and THIS:
I was VERY upset seeing as Rachel NEVER wrote on the walls. She did color on her doll house once, but she ALWAYS colored on paper after that!
So, when I grabbed the marker and scolded her, THIS is what I got:

I have said it once and I will say it a million times. "I had NO idea your children could be SOOOO different!!!" Before I get any hateful comments, I know you are not supposed to compare you kids, but really, I thought they would be sort of alike (with the exception of looks). They are not. They are almost polar opposites.

BUT I SURE DO LOVE THEM BOTH!!!
