82/365- Sunday 5/31/09 Family Sunday

We went out to Jacksboro Lake today to have a picnic and play on the playground. It was a lot of fun, but SUPER hot!!! After we ate, Rachel went to the pier to look out at the lake. I love this picture. To see more of our day, click HERE!!!

81/365- Saturday 5/30/09 Bedtime Stories

Tonight our friends Doug and Amber were over and when it came time for bed, she wanted them to read to her instead of Lance and I. It is nice that she loves them, but I did have a "Mommy Moment" of sadness that she didn't want me to read to her.

80/365- Friday 5/29/09 End Of The Year Carnival

Every year on the last day of school, we have a carnival for all the students. This year we each had a game in our room with prizes. This was mine. Doesn't everyone remember the Bozo Show?? I know my students don't, but it ended up being a lot of fun for them.

79/365- Thursday 5/28/09 TAKS Movie

Every year we take our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade students to a movie in Graham after the TAKS test. This year we went to see Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009). It was really fun. I really enjoy going every year since we don't get to go see movies very often.

78/365- Wednesday 5/27/09 The Bike

Rachel got this Bike for her birthday in April of 2008. She STILL to this day can't ride it. Her best friend Lynsey moved close, and we hang out with them a lot. So, we went over there with her bike HOPING that she would be inspired to learn to ride. WRONG!!!!! She played with a purse and jewelry. She was just fine being the only one that was not riding!! AHHHHHHHH!!! What do you do? Let her be 15 and not know how to ride a bike?

77/365- Tuesday 5/27/09 Nana & Big Daddy's Visit

Nana and Big Daddy came over last night to visit us before they left on vacation for a week.

We had a lot of fun. We went out to eat and just hung out taking pictures. I have come to really enjoy taking pictures thanks to this new 365 day picture blog. I love this one. I imagine I will not post many more pictures without enhancing them. I really like they way they look.

76/365- Monday 5/25/09 Memorial Day Swim

Don't let me fool you into thinking that we had today off.

We were one of the 2 districts (wink) in the nation that had to attend school. Although we did get invited to the Little's house to swim/jump & swim/jump. It was a ton of fun. Click HERE for more pictures of the 6 girls playing non-stop!

WOW, I tried this ice cream last night, and it is all I can think about!!! If you like bananas, you have to try it. I am IN LOVE!!!!

74/365- Saturday 5/23/09 Mimi & Poppy

We went to Bob and Devra's today to see Bob while he was home this weekend. Devra thought Rachel just had to have this coloring book. They enjoyed coloring while eating ice cream.

73/365- Friday 5/22/09 Rachel's New Pet

Yesterday Amberger brought Rachel an egg that hatched. We put it in water and let it sit (for 24-48 hours-per the directions)! It has now been almost 24 hours, and this is what we see! She is super excited that it is hatching!!!

72/365- Thursday 5/21/09 All Things Are Clear!!

Boy, today was a day of clearing up lots of things!!! Thank you God for opening my eyes!!

71/365- Wednesday 5/20/09 Hopscotch

Rachel got this water hopscotch for her birthday, and we finally got to use it since it was quite warm today. It was lots of fun playing with her. I think we already have a date to do it again tomorrow.

70/365- Tuesday 5/19/09 Summer Sign-ups

Yesterday we went with the Little's to Graham to sign up for ALL our summer activities. We signed up for our very first swim lessons the first 2 weeks of summer, and then for gymnastics all summer. I have a brain full of other things to do, but these 2 must be done early so we can get Rachel off and running as a swimmer or gymnast. It really is her choice (WINK)!!

69/365- Monday 5/18/09 Home Sweet Home

Last week was CRAZY!!!!

Monday: I got to spend at home.

Tuesday: I had Teacher's Night Out.

Wednesday: I went to bed SUPER early before our 4AM loading of the bus to Austin.

Thursday:We went to Austin (4 and a half hours away) and didn't get home until almost 10PM.

Friday: We went to dinner in Mineral Wells with Scott and Rachel.

Saturday: I drove to Kerrville (4 and a half hours away).

Sunday: I drove home from Kerrville (4 hours back).

SO, today after work, I was just SO happy to be home and not going ANYWHERE!!!!

68/365- Sunday 5/17/09 STONEHENGE II

When Lance and I first started dating we went to Hunt, TX to be camp counselors. Right before you got to Camp Stewart, there was THIS structure. We called it "CLONE HENGE" but I found out today that it has a real name. I loved driving by it, and since I was in Kerrville this weekend, I wanted to go visit it just for this blog. 67/365- Saturday 5/16/09 Walk To Emmaus

This weekend was Dana's (my sister) Walk To Emmaus. I went to Kerrville to spend time with my family and attend a prayer meeting for the Pilgrims. I thought that closing was Sunday morning, but I was wrong and didn't get to see her then, SO I can't wait to hear all about it!!!

66/365- Friday 5/15/09 Scott and Rachel

We went to dinner tonight with Lance's best Friend since High School. We were meeting his future wife, Rachel. She is from Australia. We really liked her. We had a really good time together. Rachel took this picture of us, so if you are wondering why it is a bit blurry, just know we are working on holding the camera steady!!!

65/365- Thursday 5/14/09 AUSTIN OR BUST

Every year we take the 4th grade class to Austin to the capital and the Bob Bullock museum. This year I called my "Baby" brother, Dustin, to see if he would meet us. He did, and my kids loved spending time with him in the museum. We had a TON of fun. We got to sit in the gallery of the House of Representatives. It was AWESOME!!! I didn't want to leave. I NEVER would have guessed it was so neat listening to them. Check back tomorrow on THIS blog to see more pics.

64/365- Wednesday 5/13/09 Macbeth

Today was the performances of the 5th graders in Macbeth. These are my students from last year, so it was neat getting to see them in a play so serious.

63/365- Tuesday 5/12/09 Teacher's Night Out

Our principal takes us out every year for a Teacher's Night Out. It was a lot of fun. We went o the Wildcatter Ranch in Graham, TX. It was nice to be out with our coworkers and enjoy being together. We even get to ride a school bus just like a regular field trip!!!

62/365- Monday 5/11/09 Girl's Day Out

Rachel and I went to Fort Worth today to see Dr. Palmer. It was her 1 year follow-up for her tubes in her ears. It was not until 2, so we had a lot of fun until then. We went to Build-A-Bear and made "Mittens", and then to Chuck E Cheese. It was great getting to spend the day together just her and I.

61/365- Sunday 5/10/09 Mothers Day 2009

This morning I was woken up with Rachel bringing me breakfast in bed, a card, and a flower in a pot she had painted. I loved it so much. She even helped me eat the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit they made me. I got to do whatever I wanted all day. Rachel and I are celebrating tomorrow all day. We are having a girls day since I have the day off to take her to a doctor's appointment.

59/365- Friday 5/8/09 Evacuation

UPDATE: It was my first Bomb threat!!! WOW, a lot of firsts this year!!

Today we had another evacuation. We sat out in the 99 degree heat for over an hour, and then we walked to a nearby church and sat inside there until we were cleared to come back in, and that was after 3:30 dismissal. WOW, what a day, a HOT day!!!

57/365- Wednesday 5/6/09 Daisy WOO WOO

Rachel came home from Nana's today after school. I took a cute picture of her showing us how "Ugly" a duck from the Weatherford duck pond. BUT, when we got home Rachel wanted to give Daisy a new bone, and I took this picture and LOVED IT!!! Seeing as Daisy hasn't made it big time on my blog, I thought I would use it. Isn't she GORGEOUS?

Last night was the Junior High athletic banquet, and this one is my favorite since Lance has a HUGE part in it with his JH boys. I will have more pictures HERE, but Amber said she wasn't good enough to make my blog, so here we aredressed up and perfect for my blog!!!

We had our first athletic banquet of the year tonight. Rachel went to her friend's house to stay for a few hours. She was so excited. Before we left I had her take a few pictures of Lance and I. She did REALLY well after a few tries.

53/365- Saturday 5/2/09 That Fire Inside Us

We started a new series of sermon's about the Holy Spirit at church, and one of the things we LOVE the most about the church we go to is that Rachel learns just as much as we do. She made this headband with a fire on it to remind her that the Holy Spirit is the fire inside us. Isn't that AWESOME!!! I thought so too!!

52/365- Friday 5/1/09 Rachel's Tattoos "Open For Business"

Last night Uncle Doug, and Amberger came over to play some games. We had a lot of fun, but before Rachel went to bed, she made sure everyone had something to remember her by!!
