The Endless Easter Egg Hunts

Hunt #1 (April 1st-10AM)

At PreSchool they had an Easter Egg Hunt. It was so fun watching her find the eggs with all the kids her age.

Hunt #2 (April 1st-1PM)

She remembered all year that she got to hunt eggs with my classes of 4th graders, so I thought I would take her again. She wanted the same girl to help her, so I had to explain that this was a different group, so I found an awesome helper for her and they hung out the whole time.

Hunt #3 (April 4th)

For her birthday, my family came in to go to the party and to have Easter. It was SO much fun watching the kids hunt eggs together. As Dana and I sat watching, we were talking about how weird it was that we were watching our kids hunt, when we clearly remember hunting ourselves. It is sureal that we are "grown up"!!! I can't even imagine what it will be like when our kids have kids!!!

The BFFs are at it again!!!

WOW, how time flies!!! Emma is now 6 months old and Madie is 3 months. We are still diligently working on making them the Best Friends this world has ever seen!!! Amber and I are pretty much inseparable when the guys are working, so the girls get to see a lot of each other.
Emma is chewing on EVERYTHING now, EVEN MADIE!!!
She is so cute. I love watching her grow up right before my eyes!!! She has the "drool cheeks" I just know a tooth is coming, but she is destined to prove me wrong! Here they are just enjoying each other's company, UNTIL....Emma realizes that Madie's hand looks good enough to eat!So Madie is not REAL thrilled with this turn of events so...Emma backs off, but Madie, being the Drama Queen she is, stays upset! And then she is in a full blown tantrum until I pick her up!!This is friendship is going to work out, I just know it!!!

I am offically a T-Ball Mom!!!

Rachel has started T-Ball. She has had several practices and it is safe to say she got MUCH better from the first practice to the second. The first day she was more interested in who was there than anything and the second, she actually was TRYING to catch the ball!!! Here she is playing catch while waiting for the rest of the team to show up.LOOK AT THAT CATCH!!! You guessed it she has a pink and purple glove! She was really interested in running to catch every ball (AT FIRST)!!!Coach lets the 3 girls bat first, so she looks forward to that! In case you were wondering that is her pink helmet. I know you can't see them well, but her cleats are black with pink Nike checks!! We were kind of hoping the uniforms went with all the pink! She likes to drag her bat behind her as she goes out to bat! This practice was before Coach got an assistant, so he was doing a million things at once, and when he went to direct another kid, she took to drawing in the dirt with her purple (they didn't have a pink one) bat!I love watching her be coached and seeing her really paying attention! Here she was swinging and she hit it really well for one of her first times. This was after she almost hit her coach because he didn't move fast enough!
I videoed her very first hit that she was supposed to run after she hit it, and it went really well. I was really filled with pride!!!

After she was finished batting, she had already realized the boys were determined to get EVERY ball, even if it meant fighting each other for it, so she pretty much quit going after them. She then played in the outfield while practice continued...
This one is one of my favorites although I know it is NOT Lance's. She is drawing in the dirt with a stick. It was pretty funny! This is what I have heard T-Ball being all about!!!Here is the close up of the above picture I just LOVE IT!!!!

Adventures At Bedtime

Every night when I go in to kiss Rachel goodnight and make sure she is tucked in tight, I find a new sight. I have blogged about the BIBLES in bed! They still make and appearance most every night. This night, I think the chick was helping her read God's word! SO CUTE!!!This night I went in and she MUST have been reading the bible to them, or something because they all are sitting at attention facing her!! I wish I was a fly on the wall!!!A closer look at them against the wall with their front feet on the bed!! There is her New Testament in the right bottom corner!!!This is what really caught my attention was Birthday Chuck E. riding her Bangs Dragon!! She got this Chuck E. doll not too long ago, so these two must have become quick friends!!!

I look forward to what else she can cook up in her nightly bedtime adventures!!!

"Elevan" the Blue Elephant

Madie has this elephant that Rachel bought her one time while she was with Nana and I was pregnant. Well, let me say Madie LOVES IT!!!! She really thinks this elephant rocks. Rachel picked out a name for him (it is the elephant's name off Jungle Junction) because I just know he is going to be around a while. She will just talk to him for a long time. She will talk, smile, and talk some more. Then she gives him this look and talks at him even more!
Then things must get better between them because she smiles again.

This exchange between them goes on a while. It is so cute. I would give most anything to know what she is thinking!!!

Month 3- They grow up SO fast!!!

It's that time again!!! Here is their 3 month comparison!!!
Rachel hit the 9 pound 2 ounce mark when she was 3 months old! She was 20 and a half inches long. She had almost tripled her birth weight. Thank goodness we didn't have to worry so much with her gaining weight. She also started sleeping through the night when she was 3 months!
Madie is now 10 and a half pounds and 23 inches long. She is a long little girl. We are having trouble with her sleepers crunching her toes. I am going to move her into a 3-6 month sleeper. She started sleeping through the night last month, so I moved her into her room and her own crib on her 3 month birthday. She loves being a "big girl"!!!
She is growing so fast and I really think these two look very much alike at this age.
